Glucose Giveaway
I have been sitting on these 24 tubes of glucose tablets…. Well, not ACTually sitting on them-that would be gross. Metaphorically speaking sitting on.
It's a small prize but worth almost €48 to someone out there.
Let me start again. I have been wondering how to come up with a good giveaway for these 24 tubes of Gluco Glucose tab (at 10 tabs per tube that makes 240 glucose tablets) that would be interesting, a bit of fun and provide me with useful information for the next Thriveabetes conference. And I think I've got it. I have a huge, HUGE wish list of people from all over the world that I would love to present at Thriveabetes. Unfortunately there are only a certain number of speaker slots and the budget only goes so far.
So I'm throwing it out to you :-D BUT I want first names and last names not professions or topics. And I also want you to give me a website link where I can find this person too.
By the way, these tubes were donated to Thriveabetes 2016 for hypo stations by Ascensia/Bayer Diabetes Ireland. The colourful Clinique makeup bags were provided by Davina Lyon.
Your names will be drawn out of a container at random on Monday 20th March.
Click on this link to enter.
And get googling! P.S. We are collecting email addresses and phone numbers for the purpose of being able to contact the winner. Your contact information will not be kept or shared with ANY third party.
Don't forget to register soon for the Thriveabetes Sugar Surfing Event
The Thriveabetes Sugar Surfing Workshop takes place on Saturday, May 13th from 10am until 2pm in The Carlton Dublin Airport Hotel, Cloghran, Co. Dublin.
What is Sugar Surfing? The Sugar Surfing method involves using the current information from a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) or a Freestyle Libre (Flash Glucose Monitor) about where your blood sugar level is right now and where it’s going to prevent any highs or lows that might follow.
Most diabetes education is based on changing insulin doses based on past events. Sugar surfing is managing diabetes in real time rather than after the high or low blood glucose event has occurred.
This event would be most valuable to people with type 1 diabetes (parents and adults) who use a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) or the Freestyle Libre.
Advance registration is required to attend Thriveabetes and costs €20 per person.
