What Is Thriveabetes?
Thriveabetes is a conference organised completely by volunteer living with type 1 diabetes (see information about organisers here). This event focuses on the psychological impact of living with a chronic, lifelong condition. We aim to provide “Inspiration, Motivation and Information” to all people living with type 1 diabetes.
Thriveabetes 2019 is our fourth event: our first in 2015 was attended by 190 adults with type 1 diabetes and parents of children with type 1 diabetes. In 2016, we sold out our event with 220 people and had to find a new venue so that in 2018 270 people attended.
