Back in May myself and Christine were interviewed by IrishTV's Clare Matters about Thriveabetes. We talked about our own diabetes. Christine spoke a little about her diagnosis and I spoke about all the tools I use to manage my diabetes. We also mentioned how we find great support from the diabetes online community and how Thriveabetes evolved from diabetes support. But that bit got cut. For many years, people with diabetes have been connecting with others from all over Ireland through this medium. Thriveabetes gives this community of people living with type 1 diabetes the opportunity to meet face to face.
“Thriveabetes” is a one-day conference for people living with type 1 diabetes, or for people who care about someone with type 1 diabetes. It takes place on Saturday, October 1st 2016 in The Killashee House Hotel, Naas, Co. Kildare.
